At over 2,000 masl in the Bombe Mountains of Sidama, Daye Bensa Coffee continues to showcase the remarkable potential of Ethiopian coffee through close partnerships with smallholder farmers and a relentless commitment to quality.

Founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, Daye Bensa has become synonymous with some of the most celebrated coffees from Sidama, combining deep-rooted farming traditions with thoughtful processing and an unwavering focus on excellence.

Our relationship with Daye Bensa is built on a shared appreciation for coffees that communicate a clear sense of place where variety, elevation, and processing work in harmony to create distinctive and memorable cup profiles.

This Bombe Village Lot 5 is produced from the JARC variety 74158 and undergoes a carefully managed 72-hour fermentation before drying. The controlled fermentation enhances sweetness and complexity while preserving the vibrant character and elegance that have become signatures of coffees from this region.

The resulting profile is vivid and expressive, revealing notes of strawberry, lychee, mango, apricot, and clementine, layered with a lively sweetness and remarkable clarity.

Roasted light, the approach remains intentionally restrained, allowing the coffee’s natural character to shine through and fully express the unique qualities of both Bombe Village and the 74158 variety.
